When will the UK get 4G?

When will we get 4G in the UK? Will it be a matter of years?

Could be this year on tmobile unless the other networks prevent it.
Otherwise think we are waiting on the 4G spectrum auction before it could start and that's currently delayed. Most likely next year

4g is coming 2013. Any company that has it sooner wont be true lg but a variation of it to test the system... t-mobile plan to do it using a part of the 3g signal but it won't have a phone able to truely use 4g tech till next year.

Unless you import an 1800mhz capable phone from Australia or any other nation with 1800mhz LTE.

which might work for the trial but might be redundant after the auction in 2013.

Part of their 3g spectrum rather than part of the signal, it will be a true 4g lte network from what has been written about it. Not seen any info on devices for it though so that could be sticking point, can't see that they'd have overlooked that.

Possibly but they will still have heaps of 1800mhz to play with even after they sell some off.

i dunno. the 1800mhz band is well used by 3g traffic and thats why they want 4g their isnt enough to go around.
