Are UK phones only locked to UK networks?
If I take my locked UK phone abroad can I use any foreign SIM? Or does my phone have to be unlocked first?

It has to be ilunlocked first. Your phone is only unlocked to your network at the moment. It will not work with any uk or foreign sim card
