What does Ultrapixel mean??

I know the HTC Ones camera is technically 4MP but that its technically way better than 4MP. How is that? In simple terms ^_^

In a nutshell: the Ultrapixels are huge. To simplify: a sensor large enough to hold 13 normal pixels HTC fit 4 large ones that can gobble up more light... Result is very good low light performance, and decent normal shots, also. Only if you intend to make huge prints will you notice the disadvantages - fewer pixels.
Another positive effect especially for smartphones with limited storage,, or to send/share photos on the web: the image files are smaller despite impressive quality.
