How can I unfreeze my iPhone?

My iPhone won’t turn off with the button, and nothing happens when I plug it into my computer. Can I force it to restart somehow, or do I have to wait for the battery to run out?

Try pressing and holding the home button and then press and hold the power button. That should reset it.
If not, its a wait for a day or two until the battery goes.

You can always take battery out. Might require a hammer (_;)

as mrew42 said hold the power and home button until the device powers itself off and thus resetting the device, this is tried and tested many many times hope this helps

My girlfriend had that problem with her Nokia 7280, wait for the battery to die and be sensible enough to buy a phone with a removable one in future.
