"Unknown" vs "No Caller ID"

Over the past few days I've had calls from "Unknown" and "No Caller ID".

What's the difference? Is "Withheld" another thing altogether?

I am just reiterating the original question in the hope it will come to the top as it were and someone will have a definitive answer. I know withheld is different but would love to know the difference between "no caller ID" and "unknown" as I am getting both and if I knew the difference it might help me to decide how aggravated to sound if I decide to answer it!

They're all the same thing, as far as I know. I'm not sure why your phone displays some calls as "Unknown" and others as "No Called ID", though.

Whitheld means exactly that, the. Caller has withheld their number, not sure about no caller I'd or unknown but would assume it is how the SIM card reads the number.
