How do I unlock my iPhone 3G?
What’s the easiest way to unlock my iPhone 3G? It’s on 3.1.3. I have a new phone coming soon and I think I want to sell the iphone 3g and I think I would get more money for it if I sold it if it was unlocked.

Won't your network unlock it? It's a 3G, so I assume you made your network plenty of money with it...
A good repair shop will unlock it for you for £20-ish

I think that varies - I know here in Ireland Vodafone do unlock iPhones - on prepay it's after a set amount spent within 6 months; on bill pay at the end of your contract. But I think (and I may be wrong) some networks just wash their hands - pretending it's technically 'impossible'...
