Hello, I received email from Orange. I tried to unlock using an Ovivo sim, but it wasn't successful. I then tried with a 3 uk sim still nothing. I called Orange and they said that the sim needs to be registered from a network that sells iphone. Do you know if that is true? The 3 sim I used it's meant for an internet key. The weird thing is that on the email it appears another IMEI (as we requested two unlock for two Iphones). The lady said that both phones should have gone through. I am just very frustrasted as now I will need to get another sim and register it. I haven't never heard of it, can you help?

I'm not understanding most of what you wrote. Orange, Ovivo, 3, whatever.
You need to have a phone registered with a network before it can be unlocked by that network. This is for any phone on any network. You do not need to be a customer of that network - you can ask your friend or coworker for a SIM card.
Registration means - inserting a SIM card into the phone and making a regular phone call that is connected and answered. Afterwards you can call network support and ask them to unlock.
Which network your phone from? You would need to use SIM from same network and make a phone call. Only then you can call same network and ask them to unlock.
