I unlocked a Samsung A107, will it work on Tmobile UK?

JanSt, I unlocked an AT&T Gophone, and I am going to London, UK. Problem is, it says it is a dual band phone, so I am not sure it will work.

But it's a gsm phone, and afaik t-mobile covers the band. Will check again ;)

I've seen UK charger for it, and works on vodafone uk...

I know it is GSM, but AT&T's website says the phone is 850/1900 (which will not work in Europe), and Best Buy (where I bought the phone) says "Operates on dual-band GSM/GPRS Class 10 850/900/1800/1900MHz networks so you can access the Web". Now I am confused.

But I thought with the Orange everything everywhere 'merge' the 900 mhz band is covered? Sorry, I'm not in the Uk, and I'm nowhere near a pc right now...

Nope, unfortunately this phone will not work in UK.

You have 850 and 1900Mhz bands.
Two UK mobile phone networks (T-Mobile and Orange) use a standard known as GSM1800. This uses a frequency of about 1800MHz.

Two UK mobile phone networks (O2 and Vodafone) use a standard known as GSM900. This uses a frequency of about 900MHz.

ctpahhik, thanks for clarification...phew.
But still: most sites list the A's band as 900 mhz - in that case it'd work on vf and o2, right? In fact, searching for clarity I came across some Vodafone uk threads where people with that model where using it on Vf... O_o
Welcome to 2011...

Phone does not support 900MHz. I doubt that phonescoop is wrong with their specs. It says AT&T phone on the site.
850Mhz is AT&T and 1900Mhz is T-Mobile. Neither band is supported in Europe, unless some carriers use 1900Mhz band?

funny phonearena etc say 900mhz, but could be a Eurocentric database 'feature'/default...
Weird, eh...we cook roms, and root and unlock bootloaders, but a simple question like this,.......?¿?¿?¿
