Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 available NOW

Chinese jailbreak developers Pangu have just launched an English version
of Pangu 8.
So, off you go, and jailbreak your new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus or or or...

Pangu 8 supports all iDevices that can run iOS 8 and up...

However, there is no variant that runs on Mac OS, yet. So, you will need a Windows computer to perform the jailbreak.

Take all the usual precautions: a full backup BEFORE you attempt the jailbreak.
And read all instructions and warning's on Pangu's site!
If you ever updated iOS over the air, you may run into problems during the jailbreak. To avoid that, you can first (BUT AFTER the backup!) connect your iDevice to iTunes in recovery mode. iTunes will then download the latest firmware and 'restore' your device.

Anyhoo: Pangu 8 for iOS 8 to iOS 8.1 (for Windows) is available at http://en.pangu.io/

Errors?, do NOT blame us. Remember also: jailbreaking will probably void your warranty! Not our fault ;)

A version for Mac OS users is, apparently, in the works.

Will this work for older iPhones who are out of warranty like the 4S on 8.1?

Yes, Pangu will jailbreak an iPhone 4S on iOS 8.1..
BUT: for iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.1.2 you need to use TaiG! I'll link to it when I'm back near a PC

Thanks - I have just updated my iphone 4S on 8.1.2 last night, so yeah will try it. I think its time to jailbreak my phone, as the warranty went like years ago.

Thanks JanSt

welcome :)
Caution though, Taig for 8.1.2 hasn't been tested much, yet.
I'd check back when they release the 1st update/fix, maybe?
