What happens if you try to update a jailbroken iPhone?

Is it possible to update the iOS on a jailbroken iPhone?

It'll work fine but you'll lose your jailbreak and any apps that rely on it.

It'll also re-lock your phone if your unlock was done via the JB.

If your network unlock was performed via the JB, updating your phone will lock it back to its original network. You'll have to wait for a new JB of the new version of iOS.

Well actually you could just downgrade it back again as long as you have SHSH blobs saved in Cydia for the old jailbroken firmware. I had to do my own in the same way a couple of days ago since the iOS on it somehow became corrupted and it needed a restore.
