Should I upgrade to iOS 8?

Should I upgrade to iOS 8 on an iPhone 5?
Any horror stories? Is it worthwhile in terms of features?

It IS worthwile - new features and massive security/privacy updates.
I have not experienced any glitches, yet on an iPhone 5.

I've not update our iOS devices yet, though what I've read suggests that iOS8 is better than the version of iOS7 it replaced.

In all honestly, iOS8 would have to set the damn phone on fire to be worse than the last iOS7 update. What's battery life like on 8?

Been using a battered iPhone 5 for a few days to compare iOS 7.1.1 and iOS 8 - only been, what, a day.... But I think it's better. Obviously I checked out some of the new features, updated a couple of apps etc... still got 40% at, um, 8PM, i.e. after 12 busy hours. Things seems a bit faster all over, also. Time will tell. Not sure what to think of the new 'bin' for deleted photos... And Swiftkey swipe keyboard is a bit glitchy, too. Other than that, all good.
