How do I upgrade my Motorola Dext firmware from Android 1.5 to 2.1?

harsh answer: you don't. Not officially, anyway. Europe is not worthy of Moto's Dext/cliq update to 2.1
That seems to be the state of affairs, but hopefully someone else will prove me wrong.

You can of course root it and flash it with a 2.1 ROM - XDA Developer Forum is a good starting place for your eclair appetite.
If you feel overwhelmed by the idea of rooting and 'flashing', ask in a good phone repair shop. Yhey should do it for £ 20 or thereabout.
