Last October, we heard that data accounts for a whopping 97% of all Three Mobile traffic, thanks to its all-you-can-eat packages. Yep, 97% of all calls, texts and data is comprised of the latter.
Now Three reveals that data use has doubled in the year since last summer. Cripes.
In summer 2011, the average Three contract customer guzzled 450MB of mobile data per month. One year later, that figure stands at 1.1GB. Unsurprisingly, Android and iOS chaps are above average, at 1.5GB.
Three’s Dave “D-Bomb” Dyson crooned: “Even I don't understand how much data I use on a daily basis so it's no surprise that having an all you can eat worry-free data package is proving to be so popular with our customers.
“With 95% of our smartphone customers using data on a daily basis, everyone is relying more than ever on their handset to do all the stuff they used to do on the internet at home or work. And there is no sign of this slowing down.”
Three Mobile is said to have 98% coverage across the UK, and its all-you-can-eat data packages start at £13PM.
