Can you get Viber for Windows Phone 7?

Is there a Viber app for Windows Phone 7? Prefer it to Skype!

Viber apparently committed to BlackBerry first. http://winphone7news.blogspot.com/2012/02/viber-for-windows-phone-will-arrive.html A BB client first, then WP ;)

Actually, our resources and manpower devoted for WP7 and Blackberry are parallel.
Our work on Viber for Widnows Phone is still ongoing, but unfortunately we are still not sure exactly when exactly it would be ready.

We are doing our best to complete it as soon as we can, but there are technological obstacles that first need to be overcome before we can implement VoIP in Windows Phone.

Once we have news regarding this, we will publicly post it on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Great to see a proactive developer that's quick to respond. Will recommend this to my Lumia 800 toting friend when it comes out.

Any update on when Viver will release the Widows 7 port?

Also, does Viber use the sip protocol? I'm interested in whether or not it is possible to integate Viber (eg redirect calls in and out ) into Sipsorcery

PS works well on Android, although I prefer direct integration with the Android contact list. Would that be possible in the future?

Hi,
When you say Windows 7 port, do you mean Desktop? If so, know that we're working in that direction :)

We haven't yet published the protocols we use, nor have we published API for outside SIP integration. We're thinking about it and might have news in the future regarding this.

Lastly, about the integration to Android's contact list - Viber currently does not integrate with Android's native contact list unfortunately. In future versions we hope to bring back this feature, and once we have news we'll let you know.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

Thanks for your prompt response.
Yes - I meant the Win 7 Desktop.
Another additional Viber enhancement would be to facilitate calls to sip addresses. Would this be possible in the future?

It's our pleasure to be here and assist!

About SIP - as we explained. it is something we're considering for future releases.
Meanwhile, we invite you to enter our Feature Request page and post your suggestion there, or join an existing similar suggestion (it's very easy and quick!). The more people join on a request, the faster it will become reality :)
