No, not to begin with at least. EE have stated that you'll need to be on EE (not Orange, T-Mob or presumably Virgin) to take advantage of the 4G network.

They have said that you'll be over to move over to 4g on ee with new iphone sales on ornage and tmob though I've read

I read it somewhere, before the iPhone was announced, that you'll need to be on EE to use 4G.

I've just signed up with t-mobile to get the iphone5 and it shows up EE not t- mobile.
