Vodafone 845 any good?

The Vodafone 845 is certainly well specced considering its price tag, and having played with it just for a few minutes it definitely feels like a decent built. But from what I gather a lot of owners complain about an unresponsive screen, lag, poor sound... And the combination of Android 2.1 (which was new when the 845 launched but has now been overtaken) and its low screen resolution mean many popular apps and games won't work.
For the same kind of money you can get the much more popular Orange San Francisco (ak ZTE Blade), or if you bargainhunt - a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini.
But again, I personally only had a few minutes with it and did some reading.
I do not know anyone who owns one, either.

I have a Vodafone 845 it is probably the worst mobile on the market today. It is slow, unresponsive, makes calls when switched off, won't switch off, screen in unreadable in daylight, difficult to operateand impossible to understand. As soon as I can find a replacement I am going to have it destroyed. What a load of old rubbish it is.

Terrible phone - same comments as above. Can't be used outdoors, the screen is unreadable. Makes random calls. Crashes when others phone you.

Recently, it has failed completely and just shows an hour glass when I switch it on. Lost the damn receipt to make it worse!

Oh, and the battery life is almost non-existent.

What a waste of money....

If you bought it on Vodafone and you still are on Vodafone, you shouldn't need a receipt provided you gave them your nae when you purchased it and the phone was registered.

Hi JanSt, I did not register as I had not had the phone that long.

Took it to a phone shop and they wanted 35 GBP to fix - not paying that much as it could happen again.

I have put it in the same box as my blown up ipod and other old phones.

Thanks anyway.
