Vodafone have expanded beyond their mobile business today by launching their own home broadband and phone packages. The service, which makes use of the Cable & Wireless assets that were purchased many years ago, will offer three tiers, with Vodafone customers capable of making extra savings during the first 12 months of the contract. Prices start as low as £2.50 a month (£5 after 12 months) for unlimited downloads with speeds of up to 17 Mbps, while new customers will be charged £10 a month. Meanwhile, the Ultrafast Fibre package, which offers unlimited downloads with speeds of up to 78 Mbps, will cost £10 a month for existing customers (£20 after 12 months) while new customers will have to pay £25 a month.
All packages come with home phone as well, which offer inclusive evening and weekend calls to UK landlines. Additionally, it's worth noting that if you don't already have a BT Openreach connection you may have to pay a new line provision charge of £60. You can find out more info on the service and the various packages available by heading over to the Vodafone Connect website.
