“Where’s my Ice Cream Sandwich?” is a question we’ve been hearing from numerous Android users over the past few months. At last count (March 5), Ice Cream Sandwich was found on just 1.6% of Android handsets.
Samsung Galaxy S II owners recently got a taste, and now Vodafone’s HTC Sensation-rockin’ customers are getting in on the action.
Earlier in the week, Vodafone screamed: “Great news. The testing of the ICS update for HTC Sensation is complete, and we plan to start rolling out the update tomorrow, 29th March.
“The update will be rolled out in phases by the Over The Air service, so if yours doesn’t appear right away, you can either wait for it to appear, or go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check now.”
The HTC Sensation touched down last May (it was May, right?), and was followed later in the year by the Sensation XE and Sensation XL. It was the Taiwanese manufacturer's first dual-core smartphone.
It still packs a punch, however the HTC Sensation is about to be succeeded by the HTC One X, a 4.7in quad-core monster unveiled at Mobile World Congress last month.
