Should I wait till CES and MWC?

Do you think I should wait till after CES and MWC before investing in a new smartphone as typically there are big unveilings at those shows?

tbh. the only innovation we may see at CES or MWC will be quad cores... so it depends if you really see yourself utilising all 4 cores and honestly i doubt it...

and lets be fair with the sensation XE RAZR Atrix 2 Note galaxy nexus

plus the phones from last years CES such as the original galaxy s2 atrix sensation optimus 3d optimus 2x still being very powerful and not completely utilised we wont see apps utilising the full power of any quad core for a good 2/3 years (hardware is progressing faster than any applications.)

Traditionally, it's where HTC release their low and mid-range offerings, so I'd expect to see Wildfire S, Desire S and Incredible S followups.

Nokia would probably be looking to expand their WP range around February time as well.

On the high-end side, Samsung, Moto, LG and co. are pretty occupied at the moment with stuff we already know about. I don't think the mass market will bite at anything quad-core just yet, because as said before, Android hasn't even fully utilised dual-core! There could be a Galaxy S II successor to compete with the new Sensation XE and RAZR, but it's likely to be an incremental update IMO and the price will be considerably higher than the S II.

Don't think we will see anything exciting for Android. Platform is pretty much established with only minor updates in the future. I would only wait for Windows Phones to see what Nokia has.
