Should I wait for the Samsung Galaxy S III?

Ok, I realise this is just opinion but... do you think I should wait for the Samsung Galaxy S III? I'm still using an HTC Desire, and really like the look of the HTC One X. Can the Samsung Galaxy S III really be much better??

Because the Desire was a better all round phone, it had a better UI and UX.

That's User Interface and User Experience to any of us mere mortals wondering :p

Be very surprised if they don't announce it before the One X hits the stores, as possible spoiler if nothing else. Should know what it has to offer soon I would think

One X hits the stores on April 5th, the only Samsung event between now and then is the one in France on March 22nd, and Samsung explicitly stated that that SGS3 won't be announced at that event.

Oh I forgot to answer the question, my bad.

Yes, wait to see what the S3 has to offer or you may well be kicking yourself every time you see an S3 in the next 2 years.

I don't think you'd be kicking yourself if you didn't wait. I didn't hear anyone moaning about their HTC Desire when the technically superior Galaxy S came out. Specs aren't everything anyway, it's all about the fizz, to quote James May.

Because the Desire was a better all round phone, it had a better UI and UX. The Galaxy S was plagued with software issues and Samsung took forever to update it from 2.1 to 2.2.

Also, on a lesser note, the SGS' camera had no flash, making it somewhat pointless in all but well lit areas.

Fair point. You're not losing out on much by not waiting, but as said it doesn't hurt to wait. Just don't expect something much better than what HTC has released.

Personally I'd rather just sell it...though maybe that's just 'cos I'm odd :p.
