Black Friday and Cyber Monday might’ve come and gone, but there’s still plenty of smartphone and tablet bargain action to be had in the run up to Santa’s birthday.
US retailer Wal-Mart (which owns Asda, incidentally) has rolled out a bunch of discounts for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S5. Great news if you’re on that side of the Atlantic.
As detailed on Bloomberg, the iPhone 6 Wal-Mart discount brings it down to $129 ($50 off) on a two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. That’s for the 16GB model; the 64GB iPhone 6 comes in at $229 (again, $50 off).
Similarly, the iPhone 6 Plus is down from $279 to $229, while the iPhone 5s is available for $49 (was $79) on contract.
And it’s not just Apple receiving Wal-Mart discount lovin’. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has dropped from $139 to $79 – again on contract.
Citing research by the National Retail Federation, Wal-Mart says less than 10% of Americans have completed their Christmas shopping, and with these new Apple iPhone and Samsung discounts, what better time to get caught up!
Alas, the Wal-Mart smartphone discounts are only available in-store, so you’ll have to, like, move and stuff. Boo!
