warranty advice needed on a nokia lumia 800.

I brought a Nokia lumia 800 from o2 6 months ago. Worked great at first loved the phone. Since then it has developed a fault with the headphone jack. Iv tried 4 different sets of headphones but still get the same issue.

I need to put my headphones in, in a certain way so I can hear my music at an expectable level. If I dont put it in the right place the music is very low & at times at a level I can barely hear even tho the phone is on full. An this can be a pain in the ass at times if im listening to music & the phone is in my pocket. I move around a lot the headphones moves a tiny bit the problem is there :(

Iv done what the nokia website tells you to do & go the nokia service centre. Which iv done TWICE, an each time they have sent the phone back to nokia to fix the problem. But the problem is still there :(.

Yes iv tested my headphone in other devices & they work ok

Now im at a loss what to do. Try my luck with 02? But the service centre said phone shops would normally just send it back to nokia as well but take longer than what they would do.

I do still have the receipt for it, is it with in my right's after 6 months to ask for a refund from o2?

Any advice would be really grateful

Thanks

Do other earphones work? Are the earphones you have the problems with the earphones the device shipped with?
And no: I do not think you're entitled to a full refund. But if you bought the phone through O2, go there and cause a polite stink. A big, polite and to the point stink!

No the head phones are not the ones that come with the phone. Unfortunately they broke some time ago. (cat got a hold of them)

How many more sets of headphone should I test? As I said I have tried 4 different sets of headphones since the fault started. An before that it all worked ok with one of the sets of headphones iv been tryin to use now. An 2 of the 4 pairs of headphones are brand new one's. Even spent £15 on one of them hoping to get a good make in case that was the problem.

How much of a refund would I able to get? ......Iv looked on the o2 website & they dont sell the Lumia 800 anymore so cant even ask them for a direct replacement.

Would have been easier before six months, but definitely a trip to o2 is in order.

Not same product or retailer but had full refund on mp3 players with same fault roughly 11 months after purchase.

Yeah guess a trip is needed. Just hope they can help me out. An if they offer me a part refund im then going to be screwed :( as I dont have any extra £'s at the moment to go towards similar phone.

I am really no expert - nor am I in the UK. Here in Ireland you HAVE to take the device to the store where you bought it. They have the right to test the device and will then decide how to proceed - could mean you wait 2-4 weeks for repair; or you get a refurbished replacement etc etc....
