Can you get 3G most places? Is it just out in the country you don’t get it?

Well, I live in Ireland, but I guess the situation here is comparable:
3 Ireland claim 98% network 3G coverage. On my phone I get 3G exactly never. The 2 missing percent are placed very effectively )
Dito Vodafone and O2 - and there are places in town and cities too. Our local Vf shop, e.g., happens to get zero Vf 3G instore the irony!
I guess, no matter how well covered - there are always going to be black spots. And remember, few people want phone masts near their property, so there's another factor that prevents 'perfect' coverage...
So, before you decide to move to a certain network, it really pays to try it first. Borrow a phone from that network, or get a cheap prepay sim, and try out how it works in the locations you most frequent.
