There was an app called Motion Task Killer, but it doesn't seem to be available on the Android market any more. There’s another app called Advanced Task Killer that allows you to stop or shutdown services and apps.
I'd read this article before you use one though: http://lifehacker.com/5650894/android-task-killers-explained-what-they-do-and-why-you-shouldnt-use-them

I tried an app yesterday that lets you power off the device etc by flipping the phone. Very dodgy if you ask me. You will come across a LOT of bad feedback when it comes to any kind of motion controlled functions, be it built-in or through 3rd party apps.
