Why's it called BlackBerry 10?

Why is RIM jumping from BlackBerry 7 to BlackBerry 10?

Because it was originally going to be called BBX, but then RIM found out that someone else held the copyright to the name BBX, so they changed it to BB10 (presumably because X = 10 in Roman numerals).

Also, the jump from BB7 to what's now called BB10 is a far bigger jump than from, for example, BB6 to BB7.
