In particular, we’ve got a handful of Xbox-related features coming soon to Windows 8 (including tablets, natch) and Windows Phone. Oh, the convergence!

The news is detailed in a huuuge letter from Marc Whitten to Xbox LIVE members, posted on evangelist Major Nelson’s blog.

We’ve got Xbox Music, which promises to “bring you a world-class music library and great new ways to enjoy, share and discover new music across all of your Windows devices.”

Xbox Games gives you access to your avatar, recently played games, and leaderboards. You can even purchase games from other devices and have them start downloading the moment you turn on your Xbox.

There’s also Xbox Video, which provides access to the video marketplace. “You can see your videos in your personal collection and even cue the TV show or movie up on your Xbox 360.”

Finally, there’s a little something called Xbox SmartGlass, which allows you to stream content from your Windows, iOS or Android device to your Xbox 360 console. Want!
