The world's most luxurious phones?

The world's most luxurious phones? We remember the day we got our first iPhone. Queueing up in the O2 store, buying one outright with the intention (flawed, in the end) of unlocking it and showing it off in the office. Few had physically seen one. And boy did we feel special.

Not that that's the case now. Everybody, it seems has an iPhone 4/4S - obviously not prohibited by the price. So for those who still crave a little exclusivity, take a look at these babies from Geneva.

Golden Dreams of Switzerland reckons it's created the world's most luxurious iPhone collection. We're talking leather, gold and diamond clad iDevices..

One, the Desert Edition comes dressed in aligator leather. The Gold Edition is laden with 24ct gold plating or 120 grams of 18ct gold. And if that's still a bit chavvy for you, the Diamond Edition will come complete with more than 4000 diamonds.

As you'll expect, they'll not be cheap, starting at 1990 Swiss Francs and going all the way up to... well, we don't know because the price for the diamond edition is only available on request. Probably best not to ask.

We've always found the concept of Premium phones quite interesting - especially with Vertus being badged up Nokias with fairly old fashioned specs. Some say, it's the concierge service that really sells them. Whilst iPhones do have a lot more capability, we can't help but wonder what you'll do if it breaks and has to be repaired by Apple.. Will they remove the diamonds one by one?!

Anyway, make yourself feel even more of a pauper by checking out their website.

It alway amazes me how ugly those "most expensive" things are.... The really rich have no taste.
