Is it worth buying a bigger battery?

Can you get a higher capacity battery for the HTC Desire HD, and if so - how much extra battery life would I get?

I briefly tried a Mugen extended battery on my Htc Desire Hd - http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/htc/htc-desire-hd/mugen-power-1500mah-extended-battery-for-for-htc-desire-hd-softbank-001ht.html

It's not much of an improvement for the price imho. But I gotta be honest: I only had it for 4 or 5 days before I got rid of the HD. I'd say I may have gained an hour or so - but at the time I used sh*tloads of data and I only got 7-ish hours to begin with. so an extra hour is not that bad.

Don't know of any working solutions for bigger battery for D-HD. Everywhere I read reviews people say that extended battery is not any different than original one - even though it claims higher capacity. To have a higher capacity battery it has to be bigger physically. And D-HD is one of those phones that cannot accept a bigger sized battery, cause it's inside the phone.

Your only option is to load a custome ROM on your phone. I use this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040
It does not help in any way with display, which is a power hog, but you get really good standby and talk time. Pretty much everything not involving display is very optimized.
