WP7 on the HTC HD2

So I finally got round to sticking WP7 on the HD2 that I currently have use of.
I have to say... it's not too bad. It's certainly very slick and well bolted together. Functionality is on the low side, and customisation is all but non-existant. But I can almost see the appeal.
Mmm
Next up, Dual boot with the (ahem) early release runnymede Sense 3.5 rom. Where did I put that spare sd card?

interesting. I have a Htc HD2 around somewhere. Have you installed a mango ROM, or plain WP7?

When you see what you need to do to get an activation key, you will laugh even more :) It's just hilarious.

Sounds like I may just stick with winmo 6.5 (I know, I know boooohooo :p I love the email client, and I love Cookie's Hometab. Best Sense ;)

You can still dual boot android though :)
I might try 6.5 as the phone came with Desire HD Froyo build already on it.
Then Ubuntu...

I'm not enough of an Android fan ;) I have used Android on the HD2, but, gulp, with some tweaks I find winmo 6.5 more useful. Crap for games and other fun-stuff, but better for 'work'. Opera Mobile can be tweaked to be just perfect, too, on the HD2.

(now, where are matt & Treab to grill me?)

I'll try winmo 6.5 next time i've got an hour or so to kill :)
You do realise you could still get the best part of £150 for it if it's in good nick (or €170ish of your Irish Euro thingies)
That'd be good for a new Kindle Fire ;)

I know, thanks ;)

They still pull €440 on Expansys :O

Believe it or not, I'm using a borrowed Torch at the mo'! Anna screwed my C7 to uselessness and the E6 is up for sale.

Treab  Sep. 29, 2011 at 21:36

i dont believe it... your using a worse phone that the nokia.. (was)

JanSt / MOD  Sep. 30, 2011 at 07:24

The Blackberry Torch? It's not that bad. You just have to know how to use it :p

And it's only a temp, anyway.
There isn't a single good phone in the stores right now. Overpriced toys.
