What's wrong with Windows Phone 7?!

I played around with Windows Phone 7 briefly and thought it was quite slick. Why don't people like it?

The slightly "Crayola bred with LEGO", UI, the lack of a mass storage mode when connected to a PC, the reliance on Zune and the lack of expandable storage , personally. Though I'm sure there are many reasons people don't like every OS.

I think Microshaft made a mistake when they rushed WP7 Series! People don't forget screw-ups!
No Mac support for Zune on launch day? MS may not like it, but many tech bloggers use Macs ;)
No keyboard for the browser in landscape? OMG! (A browser without Flash!).
No copy/paste after Apple and Jobs had to take it back that "people don't want it"!!!
Then MS insult the few loyal users by bricking their cheese with the pre-Mango update! Hello!!!
Then, yes, the UI!!! The most successful winmo handset - the HTC HD2 - came with Sense and the "new" winmo 6.5 UI and the classic winmo home. WP7 comes with tiles.
Apps didn't just NOT multitask. No, the few good apps (upon launch) all played some little intro animation upon start.
In other words: microsoft launched featurephones and called them smartphones.

I think its WP7 has the same disadvantages of a Iphone (Basicly it does what it wants, not what you want it to do) with none of the Iphones advantages (Massive App support, first to market bonus, docks or "Cool" factor).

You have to ask why anyone would by a WP7 device over an Iphone. Ironicly its just like the PC OS war in the early 90's. With Iphone=Mac, Andriod=Windows and WP7=Amigia OS. Macs and Amigas were much better machines but Windows was cheaper and more flexable and so won on pure numbers deployed gave it better software support.

Good analogy! Amazingly, the old winmo - despite the many annoyances - was so great because it offered unrivalled freedom thanks to registry tweaks etc etc. Then they go and copy Apple's garden wall without first planting an orchard? Pfffffffffffffffft

Shame about the hardware. (Like any PC running windows...what a waste)

I was all keen to get a wp7 but after learning that It couldn't even replace my usb drive or bluetooth someone a photo, I decided I was not for me.
