Xperia Duo snapped, SE’s first dual-core smartphone?

Xperia Duo snapped, SE’s first dual-core smartphone?Only yesterday I mentioned that Sony Ericsson, despite a huge array of new Android phones, had yet to announce anything in the way of dual-core processing or 3D-ness.

As I was writing, the first image of what’s rumoured to be Sony Ericsson’s first dual-core smartphone, the Xperia Duo, surfaced. In China.

The jury’s still out regarding the image’s authenticity, but it shows what appears to be a large-screened beast, with an almost edge-to-edge display.

At the bottom, the Xperia Duo looks very much like the Xperia Arc, with three buttons and an Xperia Logo. At the top, there’s some sort of sensor and possibly a front-facing camera.

Otherwise, the specs are completely unknown. Again, it’s not clear if the image is genuine, though Sony Ericsson did trademark the Xperia Duo name late last year, alongside the Arc, Neo and Pro. Alas, the Xperia Duo failed to materialise at Mobile World Congress.

More Xperia Duo leakies to follow soon. Maybe.

Bottom of the phone looks very much like the ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco)
