Xperia Ray coming soon to Vodafone

Xperia Ray coming soon to VodafoneWe recently heard that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray had been delayed till September. Many a tear was shed at Mobot when that particular story broke, let me tell you.

While we wait patiently for the “irresistibly elegant” smartphone, Vodafone has become the latest retailer to pop up a “coming soon” page for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray.

Vodafone doesn’t care to hazard a guess at the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray’s release date, though you can register for updates if you’re keen.

The Carphone Warehouse still reckons the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is arriving in September, while is a bit more specific with an estimated September 9 release date and £349.99 price tag.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is 9.4mm slim, with a 3.3in display, 8MP camera and 1GHz processor. Essentially, it’s a smaller Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. Like all new Sony Ericsson smartphones, it'll ship with Gingerbread (Android 2.3).

There really aren't enough sub-3.5'' screen middle of the road Androids. Thanks, Sony Ericsson.
