Most young Brits would rather go without sex than mobile for a week

Most young Brits would rather go without sex than mobile for a weekOver the years, various surveys have shown how much we’ve come to rely on our mobile phones, with people shamelessly declaring that they’d rather go without booze or chocolate or coffee than give up their mobile telecoms device.

One recent survey, however, takes the proverbial biscuit, with the key takeaway being that a whopping 94% of young Brits would give up sex for seven days before their mobiles. Kids, you obviously ain’t doin’ it right.

That’s the word according to MobileInsurance.co.uk, having polled 2,571 UK adults between 18 and 30 – all of which were in relationships. How romantic.

When asked to put a value on their mobile, 65% of respondents said they ‘couldn’t live without it’, while 22% said they were ‘very dependent’.

At the opposite end of the scale, 10% said they could ‘take it or leave it’, while a measly 2% said they could ‘easily live without it’.

Asked what they’d rather give up for seven days in order to keep their beloved mobiles at hand, the respondents said:

  1. Sex – 94%
  2. TV/Film – 82%
  3. Car – 71%
  4. My partner – 62%
  5. Bed – 55%
  6. Money – 47%
  7. Basic meals – 45%
  8. House – 32%
  9. Any other human contact – 23%
  10. Own children – 9%

Jason Brockman, Director of MobileInsurance.co.uk, observes that despite our apparently heavy reliance upon our mobiles, only 12% have insurance. Needless to say, Jason will be happy to hook the remaining 88% up.

It's because most young *** (fill in your nationality of choice - except for Mormon)
talk a lot more about sex than, you know, having some...
And smartphones open a lot more channels to talk the talk.
And lets not forget po*n.
It's not often pointed out, but I firmly believe p*rn has driven smartphone development more than any other form of, ahem, activity - bar, possibly, gaming.
Just like the sex industry were driving home video entertainment in the late 70s and 80s.
By the time legit business people figured out how to set up and run video stores the smut brigade had already perfected the model. In a similar vein, the big P had working mobile sites before anyone else.
Hardware wise, too: lets cut the cr*p - there wouldn't be mega sized HD mobile devices. And sneezing pandas are not why there are big data packages that joe ordinary can afford.

There, happy family Sunday :)

Ah, so that's what's been driving the smartphone industry with their large HD screens and 2 minute battery life....

;)

Where does this Lewis guy get his images from? The pictures have been slowly getting worse and worse. Maybe he should just open a new site called mobilesmut.com.
