Last week, some ZTE bigwig was screaming: "We would like to raise the percentage of mid- to high-range smartphones. That's the direction we're heading.”
However, the Chinese manufacturer still has a soft spot for the low end, as evidenced by the ZTE Blade III. It’s just landed in the United Kingdoms.
Er, yeah, I already scribbled a little bit about the ZTE Blade III earlier today, but I figured we’d formalise it with a proper news story. Slow news day? Shut yo’ mouth, mang.
As I was saying, ZTE Blade III specs include a 4in display (800 x 480), 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera, 1,600mAh battery, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
So, eh, very much like the Huawei Ascend G300, which has, well, identical specs on paper. Oh, and a slightly smaller battery. It’s also around the same level as the HTC Desire C. Yup.
And that’s the ZTE Blade III. Again, it’s going for £79.99 on Virgin Mobile PAYG with £10 credit, with a slightly outrageous £7.99 delivery.
