And the winner of the Most Grandiose Smartphone Name of All Time is… the ZTE Grand X! Amazing stuff.
Like the sound of it? The ZTE Grand X is coming to Europe and Asia Pacific in the third quarter this year, and the spec sheet does the name justice. Mostly.
First off, the ZTE Grand X LTE will be the first of its kind to rock a single-chip solution. But we’re not too fussed about that nonsense in the United Kingdoms. Bah.
Chop off the LTE, however, and you’re looking at the dual-core ZTE Grand X. Its CPU is clocked at 1.5GHz, and the 8MP rear camera can shoot video in glorious 1080p. The front camera, meanwhile, supports 720p video calls.
Other ZTE Grand X specs include Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and a fairly meaty 1,900mAh battery. Not too shabby at all.
"The Grand series products are our high-end flagship offerings this year,” says Mr. He Shiyou, ZTE’s Executive VP and Head of Terminal Handset Division. “ZTE aims to enhance its profile in the high-end market with the Grand series of smart terminals."
ZTE Grand X price is unknown at this early stage, but we’re thinking it’ll be in or around HTC One S territory.
